I'm getting complaints that I'm pandering to my old college buddies, but you know what? They're the ones that are leaving comments and making me laugh. Take that, law school friends. You'll all come crawling back to me this summer when you're sitting at your fancy desk at your fancy law clerkship, trying to feign interest in a research memo about the law of strawberry farming.
On a related note, I was procrastinating last night by checking up on who's been linking to my blog (a lovely feature brought to you by the blog people). Usually the people who read my blog are interested in some of this, this, or this, but I'm most flattered that this visitor has commented on something I've written. Click on the word "said," and then scroll down to the comments and read Prof. Knippenberg's response to the Superman/Karl Rove reference.
Prof. Knippenberg, you are present even when you are absent, so...does that mean that Karl is also present when he is absent? Or that he is absent, and therefore present?
I think my head is about to explode. And so is the universe.
wow...i am one of the only people from law school who comments and i don't make you laugh? i'm...a little hurt.

You make me laugh, Soldado23.
It's just a quieter, sadder kind of laugh.

For the record, I am NOT Karl Rove. And for the record, I got first-hand info about the bar conversation from Patrick Floyd, now living and seeking employment in Atlanta.
Ann, there's some rumor about your having passed the Foreign Service exam. Is that true? And are you going to become an FSO?

I heard from Patrick that you'd caught wind of our conversation. It all started with him! You can't change any of my old grades, can you?
Please promise me you will not judge me for the content of this blog.
I did pass both the written and orals, but I'm not going to enter. I've suffered 2 long years in law school, and I have another to go.
Plus, I think the world needs yet another jaded idealist posing as a lawyer.
