Two comments:

1) They're "caipirinhas." Learn how to spell the drink correctly since it might be on the bar exam.

2) My favorite Ethiopian restaurant in the DC area (and I have been to many) is Addis Ababa. They used to be conveniently located on 18th St. but unfortunately made the move out to Silver Spring (8233 Fenton St.) : (

BUT, they now have a rooftop patio and the food combined with a warm summer evening makes the trek totally worth it. And if you want to sample some Cameroonian cuisine, I can give a rec.

ok, so my spelling of a brazilian drink wasn't so great. i'm not changing it though -- it's character-building.

Guess what? I totally know where Fenton Street is. Know why? My aunt's in Silver Spring. Holla!

Please do give the rec for Cameroonian cuisine. Also, please give info on inappropriate, obvious joke to make while there. Has there been any tribal infighting I should know about?

Cammie fare: Roger Miller, 941 Bonifant St. SS, MD. If you want safe and tasty, go for the grilled fish or jolof rice. If you are feeling daring and like food that is a little bitter, get the ndole. And if you are really an African woman trapped in an Asian's body, get the fufu and eru. I'm salivating right now, esp. for the piment sauce (pepper).

Inappropriate jokes? Hmm. Ask for Castel Beer. Then ask for Mutzig. Then ask for Satzenbrau. All they have is Heineken and Amstel.

Also, if you remember, leave your tip in cash b/c the owner doesn't pass cc tips on to the waiters.
